Fish Finder & Gas Tanks?
Got Fish Finder for fathers day. How do instal it without making holes in the hull. Is it OK to leave filled gas tanks in the boat, parked outside the driveway and temperatures in the 100 degrees?
I feel for you, I don't like drilling holes either, but it's usually a necessary evil, because unless you want the unit bouncing around, you kind of have to mount it to something. I suppose you could epoxy the gimbal mount to something or if you have a boat with a console, they make flush mount kits for almost all fish finders. As far as the transducer, they do make ones with suction cups, or you could hose clamp it to the trolling motor. The gas should be fine.
