what are reeds in a fuel injecter for a polaris jet ski?
I have a polaris jetski and one reed is bad acording to the mechanic. Is this an expensive thing and would one make it run bad? He says there are 3 sets of 3 reeds. It would run but not more than an idle. under a load it would not excelorate.
a bad reed valve will definitely cause this problem. im not familiar with this engine, but a faulty reed valve has to be replaced. reed valves are just that, valves,behind the carb of a 2 stroke engine. they let the fuel/air/oil mixture in but not out of the engine block where it passes over the bearings of the crank and pistons {lubricating them} before going into the combustion chamber.
