My Yamaha jet ski wont start, it tries to start for a second then stops,worked last week, is this the battery?
I unhooked the battery last week cause I was going out of town, I hooked it back up and now it tries to start but only for maybe a second then it goes completely dead, I removed it and the battery had enough water, so I put it back in and hooked everything up and it did the same thing where it would only try to start for a second. Does this sound like a dead battery? any suggestions?
When you say it tries to start, do you mean the starter engages, then just dies? If so, then it's probably the battery, check it with a voltmeter or take it to an autozone where they'll do it for free.
If the starter engages and the motor starts for a second, then stops.. then the first thing i'd check is the fuel.
